How it came about
Azar is an online handmade and hand-crafted products bazaar. It was founded in 2017 by Azadeh Rezaie, who had a vision of showcasing artisan talent from around the middle east and Australia to create a platform for artisans to sell their creations to customers. Today, Azar has grown into one of the top Persian destinations for handmade and hand-crafted products on the internet. We have curators who source and feature only the best quality items including eco-friendly bath&beauty, baby blankets, enamelled pottery, hand block printed tablecloths from Persia (Iran), and crochet baby products from Australia.
Why was it started
Azar is an artisan-run online marketplace that offers eco-friendly and Australian and Persian-made products. We believe in the power of handmade, hand-crafted design, art and product. This was what led our founder to create a platform for these types of items where they could be found together in one place and bought with one click.
